Seeking Members for Brewster Affordable Housing Trust (Updated 6/8/18)

The Select Board is seeking two (2) Residents at large to serve on the Town of Brewster’s newly formed Brewster Affordable Housing Trust for a 2 year term. The purpose of the Trust is to provide for the creation and preservation of affordable housing in the Town of Brewster for the benefit of low and moderate income households and for the funding of community housing. Trustees shall, to the extent possible, be individuals with a background or interest in affordable housing, and specifically those with financial, legal or development expertise, or experience and perspective on housing preservation.

If you are interested in filling this position, please send a letter of interest and resume for consideration to Robin Young, ryoung@brewster-ma.gov in the office of the Select Board no later than July 6, 2018. Prospective candidates will be interviewed at the July 16th Select Board meeting.

Interested parties must be resident of the Town of Brewster. The Brewster Affordable Housing Trust is a public body, subject to all relevant laws of the Commonwealth. Meetings are to be held at a minimum quarterly, but it is anticipated that in the first year or when active projects are underway, meetings will be held monthly.
