Open Positions: COA Outreach Workers

The Town of Brewster seeks qualified applicants for one part-time and one full time Outreach Worker for the Council on Aging (COA). Position is responsible for administrative, technical, and professional work in planning, coordinating, and implementing social services for seniors.  Duties include but are not limited to; serves as advocate for seniors; assists clients with gaining access to public assistance and support programs such as fuel assistance, food programs, and adult day programs; conducts SHINE counseling and provides information to seniors on Medicare and MassHealth. Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field; minimum 3 years of related work experience, or any equivalent combination of education, training & experience. SHINE certificate or ability to become certified in first year. Grade 5 Personnel Bylaw position with a starting pay rate of $27.68 – $29.35 per hour. Part-time position is 19 hours per week, non-benefited.  Full time position is 35 hours per week with excellent benefits package, including paid time off, health insurance, and retirement benefits.  Please send cover letter, resume and Town employment application to Human Resources, employment@brewster-ma.gov.
