Brewster Beach Permit Update
The Town of Brewster continues to refine its beach permit program for Summer 2020 to provide access to our beaches while ensuring the safety of our residents, visitors, and employees. Effective today, Monday June 15, the Brewster Police Department will begin parking enforcement at our beach lots. A reminder that:
- Resident Beach Parking Permits issued in 2019 are valid until June 30, 2020. These typically would have expired in September 2019.
- Annual Resident Recycling Center & Beach Parking Permits, available via the mail-in program and online purchasing options only this year, were issued starting June 1. Due to very high volume, Annual Permit applications received after today, June 15, may not be processed by July 1. There will be no in-person sales of permits in Town Hall this year.
We are also pleased to announce that Seasonal & Daily Non-Resident Beach Parking Permits, which are available online only this year by visiting http://stickers.brewster-ma.gov, are paperless. Visitors looking to enjoy our beaches do not need to print hard copies of their Day Permit, as enforcement will be conducted using license plate reader technology. Day Permits can be purchased the day of, or in advance of, your visit. Weekly Non-Resident Beach Parking Permits are not available this summer. Daily and Seasonal visitor passes are non-refundable.
Beach parking permit enforcement is in effect June 15 through September 6, 2020, from 9am to 4pm daily. Vehicles parked without a visible permit will be fined $40.00. This is strictly enforced by the Brewster Police Department.
The Town may further modify the Beach Parking Permit program this summer as necessary. Questions about beach permits may be directed to beachpermit@brewster-ma.gov or by calling 508-896-3701 extension 1651.
