For the November 3, 2020 election, Brewster had a total voter turnout of 87.7%, or 7494 of the 8540 registered voters in town. We had the 2nd highest turnout on Cape Cod and the 33rd highest participation rate in Massachusetts. Thank you to all of our citizens who came out to participate in democracy with gracious attitudes and patience.
The Town Clerk’s Office wants to express its appreciation to everyone involved with this election and the early voting period. Thank you to the election workers and Town employees from the Town Hall, Department of Public Works, and the Police Department for their contributions, our Facilities Manager for his tireless efforts, and to the Lost Dog for feeding the DPW crew on election day. Everyone pitched in to make sure all 4500 vote-by-mail ballots were assembled and mailed out and that appropriate health protocols were in place so that Brewster voters could safely vote. The success of this election is a testament to their collective dedication and diligence.
