The Town of Brewster seeks qualified candidates for the position of Conservation Administrator. Position performs technical, administrative, enforcement, and supervisory work in providing environmental protection while carrying out enforcement of applicable laws and regulations. Duties include, but are not limited to; review permit applications and site plans for completeness, accuracy, and potential impacts on environment and wetlands and determines applicability of state and local wetlands protection regulations; informs and educates the public on issues and regulations related to conservation, explains procedural requirements and regulations for orders of conditions, notices of intent, certificates of compliance and other enforcement actions; attend Conservation Commission meetings and draft permitting documentation/conditions for each project as approved by the Commission. Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resources, or related field with a minimum of three years of work experience in related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. This is a full-time 35 hour a week, Grade 7 Personnel Bylaw position with a starting pay range of $33.50 - $37.72 per hour with an excellent benefits package, including health insurance, generous paid time off, and pension program.
