Update on First Sea Camps Community Forum

Please note-There is still room in the 1pm to 3pm session for residents. If you are still interested in attending, you may join us in the afternoon. You do not need to sign up via the Eventbrite platform the day of the forum.

On Saturday May 20, 2023, the Town of Brewster is hosting the first of six public forums to help determine future uses of the former Sea Camps properties.  In partnership with the Bay & Pond Property Planning Committees, the Town’s consulting team, led by Reed Hilderbrand, has undertaken an extensive discovery process to identify existing uses and site conditions to better inform decisions about future uses of these properties.  The results of this first phase of work are summarized in this video, which residents are encouraged to watch.  The Pond Property Planning Committee has also created this video to introduce residents to the pond property.  Detailed findings from discovery for each property can be found on the project page https://www.brewster-ma.gov/cape-cod-sea-camps-properties.

During the Public Engagement Sessions at this forum, residents will have an opportunity to explore thematic stations that include Vision & Planning, Put a Flag In It, Activities and Uses, Buildings and Site Access, Landscape & Ecology, History & Inspiration, and What’s on Deck for 2023. Please view the interactive materials that will be at each station here. The Town will be releasing a community survey in the coming week and announcing the next forum date shortly. Questions about the Planning Process can be sent to townmanager@brewster-ma.gov.
