Pond Property Planning Committee (PPPC)
The Pond Property Planning Committee was established in late 2021 tasked with developing a comprehensive plan for the former Cape Cod Sea Camps property located at 500 W H Besse Cartway. The Committee is made up of eleven (11) members, appointed by the Select Board. The term is for one year and is subject to annual reappointment. The Committee has non-voting liaisons from the Finance Committee and Vision Planning Committee. There will also be non-voting representatives from organizations across the Cape. The lead staff support is the Assistant Town Manager and other Department Heads as needed.
The Pond Property Planning Committee (PPPC) has met monthly since April 2022, and has been discussing opportunities for future public access to the property.
Residents are encouraged to submit comments or questions about the Pond Property to PPPC@brewster-ma.gov
VIDEO: INTRODUCING THE POND PROPERTY
In order to educate the Brewster community about the property while safe and appropriate access is being determined, the PPPC is debuting a new video, “Introducing the Pond Property” providing a virtual tour of the beautiful 66-acre parcel from Route 137 to the shores of Long Pond. The video can be viewed here.
