Please join us at the Brewster Ladies’ Library on Tuesday, April 23, from 2:00pm – 4:00pm for the presentation If I Live to be 100: Home Away from Home and Long-Term Care. Hosted by the Brewster Council on Aging, this informative talk will be led by Steve Ellsweig, Assisted Living Ombudsman Operations Manager at the Office of Long-Term Care Ombudsman and Cathy Ode, Long Term Care Ombudsman Program Manager at Elder Services of Cape Cod and the Islands. Topics will include the role of an Ombudsman, as well as criteria for evaluating and choosing alternative housing options such as assisted living or a continuing care retirement community. Costs and ways to finance will also be explored. Come along to educate yourself and your family ahead of time to know what to look for in a good quality facility.
