American Originals Concert Program

The Brewster Cultural Council, in partnership with the Massachusetts Cultural Council, is sponsoring a concert program on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1969 Main Street Brewster, MA.

The program, “American Originals”, performed by the Nissitissit String Quartet, includes music from revolutionary times to the present, starting with an early American suite, a Joplin rag, jazz standards from Harold Arlen, George Gershwin, and Cole Porter, folk masterpieces including Mark O’Connor’s Appalachia Waltz and Aaron Copland’s “Hoedown,” and rock tunes from Elvis to the Beach Boys. There will also be Broadway favorites featuring the Beauty and the Beast theme and selections from West Side Story, and a nod to Hollywood with a medley from Pirates of the Caribbean. 

There is no charge for this event thanks to the sponsorship of the Brewster Cultural Council and Massachusetts Cultural Council.
