Brewster Fire Department Launches New Website

Fire Department Website

Chief Robert Moran is pleased to announce the launch of an enhanced Brewster Fire Department website. “This is an energizing opportunity for our organization,” said Chief Moran. “We are delighted to expand our department’s imprint in the community through this new website and look forward to ensuring we continue to provide our residents with valuable information applicable to the lifesaving services we deliver.”

The upgraded site, www.brewster-ma.gov/fire, features a mobile-friendly, interactive home page with an easy to navigate menu. The site offers users a chance to learn about the daily operations of the department, strategic planning, call volume, and recent news. It also highlights the inspection, prevention, fire safety, and community risk reduction resources offered by the department. The main page includes a link residents can use to access the Community Opt-In-Portal to receive emergency notifications and updates. The site also now allows users to obtain burn permits, online forms, and access staff contact information.

Additionally, residents and visitors can explore other resources provided by the department, including information concerning emergency medical services, staffing, ambulance billing, community fire & EMS training programs, and view photos of the department’s specialized vehicle fleet.

Emily Higgins, a Firefighter/EMT, has been principally responsible for readying the site for launch. “Emily has devoted hours of time, along with the Town Project Manager, Conor Kenny, to bring this project to fruition,” said Chief Moran.

The new site uses CivicPlus, a platform widely used by municipalities across the nation. The Town and Police Department websites launched earlier this year on the same platform.
