Christmas Holiday Closings

The Recycling Center and Town Offices will be closed Monday, December 25, for the Christmas Day Holiday.

The Recycling Center will be open on Tuesday, December 26 to alleviate any inconvenience.

The Brewster Swap Shop is currently open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 10am to 2pm, but will be closed Sunday, December 24 for Christmas Eve. The last day that the Swap Shop will be open for the 2023 season will be Saturday, December 30.

New Year’s Day Closings

The Recycling Center and Town Offices will be closed Monday, January 1, 2024 for the New Year’s Day Holiday.

The Recycling Center will be open on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 to alleviate any inconvenience.

Recycling Center Accepting Trees and String Lights

The Brewster Recycling Center is accepting Christmas trees and strings of holiday lights for recycling through January 30, 2024. Christmas trees will be composted, and unwanted or broken light strings will be broken down into their different components and the metals will be recycled.
