Residents Reminded to Participate in Second Community Forum about Future of Sea Camps Properties

Sea Camps

This coming Saturday, August 5th, the Town of Brewster is hosting the second of six public forums to help determine future uses of the former Sea Camps properties.  There will be three public engagement sessions held in the Bay Property Dining Hall on the 5th, starting at 1PM, 2PM and 3PM.   The 1pm session is currently filled, but there is plenty of space in the 2pm or 3pm sessions. The property will be open to the public to explore on foot from 12PM to 5PM that day.  We will have some sample buildings open for residents to explore. Residents are invited to register here for either the 2pm or 3pm workshops.  A flyer about the second forum can be found here.

Community Forum #2 will be an engaging community event that shares preliminary planning scenarios for both the Bay and Pond properties based on resident feedback from Community Forum #1 and the survey. Each session will begin with introductory remarks. The remainder of the meeting will be a community workshop where residents will be invited to learn about the planning scenarios, indicate their preference and share feedback. Please see a summary of the feedback from Community Forum #1 and the companion survey.

The Council on Aging is offering rides to and from both community forum sessions.  Please call the Council on Aging at 508-896-2737 by Thursday August 3rd to arrange for transportation.

For more details about the long-term planning process, information on Bay Property and Pond Property Planning Committee meetings and interim activities at both properties, please visit the project page, https://www.brewster-ma.gov/cape-cod-sea-camps-properties. To provide feedback to one of the committees, please email us at bppc@brewster-ma.gov (Bay property) or pppc@brewster-ma.gov (Pond property).

We look forward to your continued participation and feedback as we engage in the community planning process to help shape the future of these properties together.
