Spring 2024 Town Meeting and Annual Town Election Dates Set

Town Meeting

The 2024 Annual Town Meeting will be held on Saturday May 11 at 1PM at the Stony Brook Elementary School. Check-in for Town Meeting will start at 12PM. Consistent with Town bylaws, the Annual Town Election will be held on Tuesday May 28. Nomination papers are due by Tuesday April 9.  

The Council on Aging offers rides to and/or from Town Meeting. For information or to schedule a ride to and/or from Town Meeting please call the Council on Aging at 508-896-2737 by noon on Wednesday May 8.

Nauset Youth Alliance is providing free childcare services in the Stony Brook School Library during Town Meeting. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please call or email NYA before 4:00 pm on Wednesday May 8 at 508-896-7900 or drost@nausetyouthalliance.org.

The warrant for Town Meeting is expected to close by April 8, 2024. Residents interested in submitting a citizens petition for this Town Meeting are invited to contact the Town Manager’s office who can provide guidance and/or technical assistance through Town Counsel. 

In advance of Town Meeting, the Town will host two information sessions. The first will be held on Monday April 29 at 6PM and it will cover all articles on the warrant besides the Sea Camps plans. The second session, focusing on the Sea Camps plans, will be on Tuesday April 30 at 6PM.

Over the next month, the Select Board and Finance Committee will be voting their recommendations on Town Meeting articles. Questions about Annual Town Meeting can be directed to townmanager@brewster-ma.gov.
