For the Week of July 1, the Town of Brewster Has the Following Volunteer Opportunities

Finance Committee:

The Town Moderator is seeking a volunteer to serve on the Finance Committee to fill an existing vacancy through June 30, 2024. The committee is made up of nine members appointed by the Town Moderator for a three-year term. The Finance Committee is an advisory committee that is required to review and report on all matters of business that are submitted for Annual and Special Town Meetings. The committee is also responsible for the administration of the Reserve Fund, which is an appropriation used for emergency and unforeseen events. The Finance Committee typically meets Wednesday evenings on a monthly basis; however, meetings are more frequent during the warrant and budget review processes. Interested parties must be a resident of the Town of Brewster and members of Finance Committee shall hold no other Town Office.

Cape Cod Regional Technical High School Committee:

The Town Moderator is seeking to fill a 3-year term for a Brewster Representative to the Cape Cod Regional Technical High School Committee. The School Committee's primary responsibility is to establish those purposes, programs, and procedures that will best produce the educational achievement needed by our students. The Committee is charged with accomplishing this while also being responsible for wise management of resources available to the school system. It must carry out its functions openly, while seeking the comments of the public, students, and staff in its decision-making processes. The committee meets the 4th Thursday of every month at 7pm.
