Long Pond Town Landing Closing Next Week

Landing to Close September 5 – December 1, 2023 for Boat Ramp Replacement Project
Long Pond Boat Ramp

A reminder to residents that Long Pond Town Landing will close from Tuesday, September 5 through Friday, December 1, 2023 to allow work to begin on the boat ramp replacement project.

The project includes construction of a new boat ramp, creation of a second entrance to the parking area to better separate beach and boat traffic, and improved on-site boat trailer parking. The Town went out to bid in the Spring and selected Speakman Excavation of Harwich, MA as the contractor. Chris Miller, Natural Resources Director and Griffin Ryder, Public Works Director will share oversight of the project, along with the engineering firm, Horsley Witten.

Additional closures may occur in Spring 2024 in order to complete site work and landscaping. The project is expected to be fully completed by late Spring 2024.

Updates will continue to be provided on the Long Pond Town Landing project webpage. Please call the Natural Resources Department with any questions at 508-896-4546. General Town government questions may be directed to the Town Manager’s office by emailing townmanager@brewster-ma.gov
