Town of Brewster Launches Brewster Historical Preservation Awards to Honor America's 250th Anniversary

Kicking off celebrations for America's 250th anniversary, the Town of Brewster Historical Commission is seeking nominations for its inaugural Brewster Historical Preservation Awards, beginning July 1.

The awards program will recognize property owners who have shown exceptional stewardship of Brewster's buildings and land. Sponsored jointly by the Brewster Historical Commission, the Old Kings Highway Historic District Commission, and the Brewster Historical Society, the awards celebrate craftsmanship and the preservation of the town's historic character.

"Brewster townspeople cherish our historic character," says George Boyd, Chair of the Brewster Historical Commission. "These awards allow us to celebrate the projects that honor our history—including sensitive modernizations and adaptive reuses that allow our historic structures to thrive in the modern era."
