Help Keep Brewster’s Littleneck Fishery Thriving!
Interested in helping make littlenecks a sustainable fishery for future generations? Join the Brewster Department of Natural Resources (DNR) as we work to restore our local shellfish beds!
Volunteer Day: Quahog Broadcast at Ellis Landing
- Friday, October 10th
- 8:30 AM
- Ellis Landing, Brewster
Volunteers will help spread juvenile quahogs among the rocky beds—an important step in supporting a healthy, sustainable littleneck population.
You’ll also learn how the DNR grows juvenile quahogs in a floating upweller system, and how these shellfish help improve water quality and repopulate our coastal habitats for future harvests.
Come dressed for the flats and ready to get your boots wet! Your help makes a lasting difference for Brewster’s shellfishery.
For questions, contact the Brewster DNR at (508) 896-4546.
