Paine's Creek/Freemans Pond Culvert Enhancements

The Town of Brewster is proposing to make adaptive management enhancements above the existing culvert at Paine’s Creek Landing in order to address erosion during storm events and related maintenance issues that have developed over the last decade.

Goals 

• Allow for continued safe and reliable pedestrian beach access.
• Protect the previous investment in the replacement culvert with its tidal restoration and resilience benefits.
• Erosion control maintenance of the culvert area.
• Protect both the ocean and upstream facing banks on either side of the culvert.
