Red Top Water Main Project to Commence

Following recent Town Meeting approval of supplemental funding, the Brewster Water Department will be installing new water main on Red Top Road beginning December 4, 2023. This is Phase 2 of the 3-phase Red Top water main project, from Stony Brook Road to Satucket Road. The first phase installed new water main from Stony Brook Road to #26 Red Top Road.  Phase 2 consists of installing approximately 2000 feet of water main to #237 Red Top Road.  

The hours of work will be 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. The pace of this project will be dependent on several factors, including weather and holidays. Weekend work may be approved, if necessary, but hours would be limited to 8:00am to 3:00pm. This next phase will start on December 4 and end around December 20.  The third and final phase, connecting to Satucket Road, is planned to be completed from January 4 to January 22.

We know that construction draws interest, but we ask that residents stay out of the work zone during construction to keep everyone safe.
