Final Meter Reading - I'm Selling My House

The following information is required from the listing agent (or homeowner for a private sale) TWO WEEKS in advance of scheduled closing date. Final readings are obtained 1 week prior to a confirmed closing date. There is a 30.00 charge to create a final bill, and this charge is part of the final bill, in addition to the water consumption and monthly service charges. Please email completed Final Water Read Request Form to stheuret@brewster-ma.gov. Please note you need to save the filled-out PDF form before attaching it to an email to return.

Failure of a seller to notify the Water Department of change of ownership does not relieve the buyer of responsibility for any charges due to the Water Department. All charges are against the property and liens may be instituted if necessary.
