Food Waste

The Brewster Recycling Center accepts food waste. Bin is located between the two PAYT trash compactors. Acceptable items include food scraps, coffee grounds, eggshells, meat, fish, dairy products, flowers, and household plants. Items not allowed include large bones, roadkill, walnut shells, diseased plants, human or pet waste, kitty litter, food containers.  Please see an attendant with any additional questions.

The Brewster Recycling Center has kitchen scrap buckets available to residents. There are also home compost containers available for $23.00. Please see gate attendant.
