Recycling Center Permit Information
The Recycling Center utilizes state of the art license plate recognition software to verify permit holders in place of physical stickers. Annual Resident Recycling Center permits may be purchased in person at the Town Hall, between September and April 1st each year, or through the mail-in program and online year round. Any changes to the license plate on file can be requested through permits@brewster-ma.gov. Please note that a valid vehicle registration will be required. More information on permit requirements is available here.
A recycling center permit is required to be purchased prior to entering the recycling center, there are no sales of permits at the gate house. Recycling center permits are valid from July 1st through June 30th each year. The first vehicle permit is $50.00, additional vehicle permits are $15.00 each
A Recycling Center Day pass may be purchased (check or credit card) at the gate house for $10. All visitors must use the Brewster Pay-As-You-Throw (PAYT) bags, waste must be placed in these bags prior to disposal. Recyclables don’t need to be bagged and are sorted into paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, and metal containers. Click here for the Brewster Recycling Guide. Additional fees may apply depending on items being disposed, please see our Recycling Center Fee schedule for details.
